Heavy snowfall and tough wind brought severe disruption in the Northern part of Japan on Tuesday. Hokkaido and northern Honshu affected the heaviest snowfall reporting a level of 83 cm snowfall. The country has reported a disastrous level of destructions and problems. 250 people were injured across the country. Japan cancelled all the major transport networks including Japan Airlines and Nippon Airways. This resulted in the cancellation of 200 flights affecting 16000 passengers. Bullet trains on the JR Yamagata, Akita, Hokuriku Joetsu and Tokaido lines were delayed. The country experienced a 140 km/hour wind blow with severe weather change. Weather forecasts reports that Hokkaido is expected to experience another disastrous snow flurries by Friday.
