۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

Asad : And [then] We inspired Moses, "Throw down thy staff!" - and lo! it swallowed up all their deceptions:89
Malik : We inspired Musa to cast his staff. No sooner did he cast his staff than it became a serpent and began to swallow up the creation of their sorcery!
Mustafa Khattab :

Then We inspired Moses, “Throw down your staff,” and—behold!—it devoured the objects of their illusion!

Pickthall : And We inspired Moses (saying): Throw thy staff! And lo! it swallowed up their lying show.
Yusuf Ali : We put it into Moses's mind by inspiration: "throw (now) thy rod": and behold! it swallows up straightway all the falsehoods which they fake!
Transliteration : Waawhayna ila moosa an alqi AAasaka faitha hiya talqafu ma yafikoona

Asad 89 Implying that the act of Moses was a genuine miracle, whereas that of the sorcerers was a feat of make-believe cf. 20:66.
