قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانْصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ |
Asad | : | They exclaimed: "Burn him, and [thereby] succour your gods, if you are going to do [anything]!" |
Malik | : | They cried, "Burn him alive and avenge your gods, if you want to take any action." |
Mustafa Khattab | : | They concluded, “Burn him up to avenge your gods, if you must act.” |
Pickthall | : | They cried: Burn him and stand by your gods, if ye will be doing. |
Yusuf Ali | : | They said "Burn him and protect your gods if ye do (anything at all)!" |
Transliteration | : | Qaloo harriqoohu waonsuroo alihatakum in kuntum faAAileena |
