فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ |
Asad | : | And then he broke those [idols] to pieces, [all] save the biggest of them, so that they might [be able to] turn to it.60 |
Malik | : | So he broke them all in pieces, except the biggest of them, so that they might turn to it. |
Mustafa Khattab | : | So he smashed them into pieces, except the biggest of them, so they might turn to it ˹for answers˺. |
Pickthall | : | Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it. |
Yusuf Ali | : | So he broke them to pieces (all) but the biggest of them that they might turn (and address themselves) to it. 2718 |
Transliteration | : | FajaAAalahum juthathan illa kabeeran lahum laAAallahum ilayhi yarjiAAoona |
