إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الْأَسْبَابُ |
Asad | : | [On that Day] it will come to pass that those who had been [falsely] adored133 shall disown their followers, and the latter shall see the suffering [that awaits them], with all their hopes134 cut to pieces! |
Malik | : | On that Day those leaders who were being followed, when faced with their punishment, will renounce those who followed them and the bonds which united them will break asunder. |
Mustafa Khattab | : | ˹Consider the Day˺ when those who misled others will disown their followers—when they face the torment—and the bonds that united them will be cut off. |
Pickthall | : | (On the day) when those who were followed disown those who followed (them), and they behold the doom, and all their aims collapse with them. |
Yusuf Ali | : | Then would those who are followed clear themselves of those who follow (them); they would see the penalty and all relations between them would be cut off. |
Transliteration | : | Ith tabarraa allatheena ittubiAAoo mina allatheena ittabaAAoo waraawoo alAAathaba wataqattaAAat bihimu alasbabu |
