أَوَكُلَّمَا عَاهَدُوا عَهْدًا نَبَذَهُ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ |
Asad | : | Is it not so that every time they made a promise [unto God], some of them cast it aside? Nay, indeed: most of them do not believe. |
Malik | : | Has it not been the case that every time they made a covenant a group of them threw it aside? But the fact is that most of them are faithless. |
Mustafa Khattab | : | Why is it that every time they make a covenant, a group of them casts it aside? In fact, most of them do not believe. |
Pickthall | : | Is it ever so that when ye make a covenant a party of you set it aside? The truth is, most of them believe not. |
Yusuf Ali | : | Is it not (the case) that every time they make a Covenant some party among them throw it aside? - Nay most of them are faithless. |
Transliteration | : | Awakullama AAahadoo AAahdan nabathahu fareequn minhum bal aktharuhum la yuminoona |
