ثُمَّ إِذَا كَشَفَ الضُّرَّ عَنْكُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْكُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ


Asad : yet as soon as He has removed the harm from you, lo! some of you [begin to] ascribe to other powers a share in their Sustainer's divinity,61
Malik : Yet no sooner does He relieve you from the distress than some of you begin to associate others with Him,
Mustafa Khattab :

Then as soon as He removes the hardship from you, a group of you associates ˹others˺ with their Lord ˹in worship˺,

Pickthall : And afterward, when He hath rid you of the misfortune, behold! a set of you attribute partners to their Lord,
Yusuf Ali : Yet when He removes the distress from you behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord
Transliteration : Thumma itha kashafa alddurra AAankum itha fareequn minkum birabbihim yushrikoona

Asad 61 Lit., "associate [other powers] with their Sustainer": i.e., by attributing the change in their "luck" to what they regard as "extraneous" factors and influences, they invest the latter, as it were, with divine qualities and powers.
