| إِلَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ |
| Asad | : | [And thus it is with most men -] save those who are patient in adversity and do righteous deeds: it is they whom forgiveness of sins awaits, and a great reward. |
| Malik | : | The exception is for those people who are steadfast and do good deeds; they are the ones who will have forgiveness and a great reward. |
| Mustafa Khattab | : | except those who patiently endure and do good. It is they who will have forgiveness and a mighty reward. |
| Pickthall | : | Save those who persevere and do good works. Theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward. |
| Yusuf Ali | : | Not so do those who show patience and constancy and work righteousness; for them is forgiveness (of sins) and a great reward. 1508 |
| Transliteration | : | Illa allatheena sabaroo waAAamiloo alssalihati olaika lahum maghfiratun waajrun kabeerun |
